Level 1/2

Level 1
Online learning is well underway in Level 1. Students are participating in their day to day subjects and developing their understanding of technology in the process. In English students are learning the step-by-step process on how to write a narrative piece. We have been impressed with the planning and the details in the introductions so far.
In Maths students learnt place-value and addition by using a range of activities: Mathletics, Seesaw activities, worksheet and board games to learn the subject content.
Inquiry is focused on the 3 R’s with students learning how we can help make a positive impact on our Earth. Students have been using their creative minds to make STEM projects such as playgrounds and 1 metre towers using recycled materials. It has been fantastic for students to post their Show and Tell for their peers to see on the class blog on Seesaw. The past weeks topic was ANZAC Day and it was wonderful to see how much knowledge students have on the special day and how they commemorated it.
Level 2
Level 2 has been exploring Autumn. The children have been finding out why leaves change colour. There has been lots of fun activities around collecting leaves and being creative. The children have done a great job on writing imaginative stories. During reading the children searched for the problem and solution in their books. In Mathematics the children were very engaged in creating their own Mathematics board game. Remote News Time is also underway in Level 2. A number of birthdays have also been celebrated online.
