Wellbeing & Engagement

Week 4
Hello Rangeview Families. Another week of Remote Learning and another week of learning for our students…. and our staff!
Thank you to so many of you for your lovely feedback around the videos, activities and resources that the staff have been putting up onto Seesaw for your kids. We have been overwhelmed by the students’ response with incredible numbers of posts each day from students. So many that this data was shared with our Principal Network in the Whitehorse Schools as exemplary. This is such a strong indication of the engagement of Rangeview students with their learning and with their school. Well done to you all. We know that many of you are working from home whilst also supporting Remote Learning. I do this myself for several days a week and it is hard!
I have spoken to a number of families that are wondering about ways to connect their children with peers while we are social distancing. This is both important and difficult to achieve. Although we can set up phone calls or group video chats with friends, many children may find it difficult to just ‘chat’ to friends with nothing to direct the conversation. Especially as their lives are somewhat limited at the moment. With this in mind I have compiled a list of games that are available as Apps for the ipad which students might like to play with friends. Please have a look at them and decide as a parent is you feel they are appropriate / engaging for your child. If you need to – ask your child’s teacher to have the class ambassador re-send the class contact list so that you are able to connect with other students in your child’s grade.
