Parent's Association

With all the changes happening I would like to give an update on the MPS Parents Association activities this year.

With the family fun night cancelled the first event to raise money was the Adults Lawn Bowls night, raising $330 for the school.  The delayed Easter raffle raised $985.  Thanks to everyone who participated and made these events such a success.

Due to the corona virus situation the Mother's Day stall did not go ahead this year.  While the Disco won't happen on May 22nd now, we will try and make it happen as soon as students are back at school and restrictions allow.  The movie night planned for the end of Term 2 has also been cancelled for this year.  All other events are now tentative.  The situation will be reviewed towards the end of term when we hopefully know more about changes to the restrictions and school life.

We do have some other replacement events planned for Term 2.  It was great to see pictures of so many people dressed up for “Star Wars Day” on 4th of May.  Friday May 15th will be Crazy Hair Day.  Students are encouraged to do their work with "crazy" hair and post photos to the year level FB pages.  The current restrictions prevent us from having a real disco but like many others we can have an online one.  More details to follow but the plan is that we will host an online WebEx disco for students to join.

If you are looking to stay in contact with other parents in the year level then there are Facebook pages for each year level.
