OVERDUE BOOKS

 

Many students will now have overdue books as a result of remote learning. Please hold on to your library books for the meantime. Library staff will not be running overdue notices and all loans can be returned when we resume back at school. 

 

MELBOURNE WRITERS FESTIVAL 

 

Melbourne Writers Festival takes place August 7-16 and this year has gone online.

There are a wide variety of sessions for all ages including a couple of sessions for teens. The following sessions can be attended for $5. 

  • The Sneak Peek - Hosted by Will Kostakis and Ellie Marney. Discover the action-packed conclusion to Kostakis’ epic fantasy Monuments series in Rebel Gods: Monuments Book 2, and take a first look at Marney’s None Shall Sleep, a dark YA thriller about two teenagers recruited into the FBI in the 1980s.
  • Readings YA Prize: Lisa Fuller. Author of Ghost Bird Lisa Fuller, a Wuilli Wuilli woman and descendent of Gooreng Gooreng and Wakka Wakka peoples, weaves her culture and spirituality into her storytelling. Fuller sits down to discuss her action-packed novel, her writing process, and the importance of First Nations Australian representation.
