From the Principal and Assistant Principal

Welcome back Prep-Year 2 students

Thank you to our wonderful parents for the support they offered their children, the staff and other parents when the students resumed on Tuesday.

The School Captains, Vice Captains and their families also greatly contributed to the happy, relaxed return that we were hoping for, by welcoming the students at the gate and displaying the welcome back to school signs and balloons  very early that morning.

The staff are to be congratulated for their positivity and the kind reassurances that they offered the students as they arrived.

We believe the events of recent times have enabled our community to forge stronger relationships and partnerships. Parents, carers and teachers have gained a greater mutual appreciation of the value of a shared contribution to the education of their children and students.

Of course, students and school staff are not returning to a standard school environment. The Department of Education and Training has worked closely with the Victorian Chief Health Officer to provide advice and guidance on re-establishing on - site education in a way that protects the health and safety of students and staff.

We are grateful for the time staff dedicated to discussing and planning the daily routines and organisation of the school environment to ensure our school operates in line with these guidelines for the health and well being of all.

New Bike Shed Project

We are delighted to advise the community that School Council has approved the redevelopment of our bike enclosure. As a result of a successful application submitted at the end of 2019, the project will be funded using a grant of $19,000 received through the Goldstein Electorate  Local Schools Community Fund.

Current restrictions will influence the speed of the project. The plan is to reinstate the current bike enclosure as a cricket net and build a larger enclosure that will accommodate more bikes, undercover, in the adjacent space.

Gratitude and Mindfulness

What are three things that went well for you today?

What are the best things that happened to you today?

Who are you most grateful for and why?

What are you looking forward to most about tomorrow?
