Music News- Week 15

Music Eisteddfod

Applications for this year’s Music Eisteddfod on Monday 15 June and Tuesday 16 June close today at 4:00pm. Students learning through the College will have had their application handled by their tutors, while students who learn externally can find the application form, here.

A schedule for the Eisteddfod will be released in Week 6.

Autumn Soiree

With live performances across the globe in suspension, we are excited to announce that our Autumn Soiree is to be recorded for broadcast! Wind Band, Concert Band, Senior Guitar Ensemble, Chamber Orchestra, Swing Band, Treble Choir and Chamber Choir will have their music for Soiree recorded on Thursday 18 May, with a schedule to be released in Week 6. Students must ensure they have a Music Performance Uniform secured for the recording date.

We are excited about the opportunity to share our music with you, once again!

Music Stands

The Music Department has a number of music stands that, while not compatible with our storage systems, are perfect for instrumental or vocal practice in homes! Anyone interested in acquiring a music stand on a first-come, first-served basis may contact the Music Department – we are asking families to make a voluntary donation to Jesuit Mission or Mary Ward International upon receipt.
