Assistant Principal's Report  7 & 8

 Mr. Timothy Cottrell

Year 7 & 8

Dear Families,

What a great week it has been. Terrific to see the faces of our younger students again, and students have certainly rejoiced in re-uniting with their friends. While the period of the remote learning model has been largely successful, this week has been a reminder of the part school plays in a broader sense of social awareness and interaction. Congratulations again to all students and their families. Attendance has been excellent – despite these cold mornings!

It is very important that we continue to follow the very best health advice upon our return to school. Students must maintain a high level of hand hygiene and carefully follow all guidelines provided by school staff regarding movement around the school.

The College continues to observe Departmental guidelines on limiting non-essential visits to the college. Unfortunately, this means that parents should not enter the grounds at drop off or pick up, and all parent visits must occur via the school office. We continue to update information as provided to us.

It is a great concern that our year 7 students have missed the regular immunisation schedule provided by City of Whittlesea onsite at the College. It is vital that all of our students attend a Council-run appointment to receive this immunisation. Missing this immunisation could have serious health consequences for the individual and community. Please follow the procedure below to make a booking with the City of Whittlesea.

Year 7 families are required to book an immunisation session for their child, using a booking system. The immunisation will take place at an alternative venue (not at school).

If parents wish to contact Council for further enquiries, please email teamimmunisation@whittlesea.vic.gov.au or telephone 9217 2475.
