AUSLAN NEWS

ENDING OFF THE TERM WELL...

As we finish (word listed on the left) off the term in Auslan, we are revising all the wonderful words that we have learnt in Auslan so far! The total amount of words amounts to over 120 words! What an amazing achievement!

As many of you may already know, I will be finishing up at Rolling Hills at the end of this Term. I have secured a full time Grade 5 teacher position at another school, and will most definitely be sad to be moving on. I do know however, that what each of the students has learnt in Term 1 and 2, will be with them for a long time to come!

Over our last few weeks together, we will make sure we add a few more words to our vocabulary list, and will have fun revising the words we already know.

To those families who have been practising their Auslan at home- keep it up! It is a language that can be used in so many situations, and so handy to know!

In my last few weeks at Rolling Hills, I hope to see all your smiling faces and signing hands, and I hope to be able to catch you all before I go...

Keep Signing and Keep Smiling,

Miss Phillips
