PRINCIPAL'S REPORT

Great Learning
Over the last week I have had the opportunity to meet with students to hear their thoughts on the Learning @ Home period. I have also surveyed staff for their feedback. Overall, there were positive and negative components to this time. Pleasing to hear from many was how nice it was to spend time with family and receive support for their learning from them. Flexibility and choice were the winning features of online learning. What students missed about school was the support of their teachers and their friends. Lovely to know that in our world of social media and communication nothing can compare to friends in the flesh.

Pupil Free Day Next Term

Term 2 Fees
Term 2 fees are due on Tuesday 30 June.
Covid 19 Response Protocols
I have been reading through the protocols required by the NSW Department of Health and Catholic Schools NSW in the case of a confirmed Covid 19 diagnosis. It is crucial that families let us know if a there is a suspected or known case of the coronavirus.
Parental Feedback
Over the last few weeks I have had a number of parent meetings where concerns have been raised about issues at school. I really appreciate when people bring forward their concerns so I am aware and we can try together to resolve issues. If we are unaware of problems it is hard to fix things. Talking directly to the school, I believe, is vital for our school to become a better learning environment. Our school has around 600 humans in it. We make mistakes but we are keen to learn from them. If you need to get in touch my email is:

Students being unwell
We are still having a lot of students coming to school unwell. We have had incidents of school sores, chicken pox, colds and vomiting. Please help us by keeping your child home if they are unwell. If your child is away for a few days they do not need to have work to do at home...they need to rest and get better. Social distancing, where possible, washing of hands and use of sanitiser are daily practices in our school to reduce the spread of germs.
