Showcase Event 

Recently I was privileged to receive an invitation to the VET Hospitality Showcase at ZEST restaurant, Holmesglen.

This event celebrated the achievements of the students who have undertaken the VET in Schools, Hospitality and Cookery Program at Holmesglen in 2019. The students are in Stage 2 of the program and on this night they showcased their skills to 40 special guests and family.

 

Cocktail food and beverages were prepared and served by the students during the evening and I was delighted to taste creations from our Year 12 students Erin Endean and Belle Kurz and Year 11 student, Morgan Galea.

 

We were treated to such temptations as mushroom arancini, salmon bites and chips, blinis, filo lemon meringue tarts, watermelon mocktails and much more.

 

Our girls were awarded their certificates on the night, acknowledging completion of Stage 2 of the program which began for them 12 months earlier in VET Hospitality at the College.
