Boxing Me In

As part of the process of developing designs for the ‘Boxing Me In' task, the students explored the application of the design elements and principles through a variety of different media, materials and methods.

For this particular task, the girls designed a type face through the application of the design process which communicated their interests and talents.

Their final creative solutions were completed with the application of gouache paint.

Year 11 Visual Communication Design

Recently, in Year 11 Visual Communication Design, we finished our final outcome for the year.

In this area of study, we were given design briefs for a number of different companies we could choose from, including a pet shop, a sky diving company, a  book store and a  fresh food delivery service.

For these companies we had to design a logo and present it within different formats. There were a number of steps in the design process we had to complete to finish our final design.

Many of us experimented with a variety of methods like lino-printing and collage, which we could then incorporate into our design.

Once we finalised our ideas for the logo, we then applied them to items such as delivery vehicles, staff uniforms, carry bags and business cards. Everyone’s work was individual and fitted constraints within the brief.

Overall we all enjoyed the challenge of designing to a brief and look forward to more creative tasks like this in the future.
