Holidays!

Summer has already arrived at the College Library – Just like Christmas is already in the stores, we like to be proactive! 

From now until the end of the year we are encouraging our students to borrow as many books as they want so that they may go on adventures in their heads without leaving the house – personally I have always found reading a book under the shade of a tree in summer uncomfortable, and trying to read while at the beach much too full of glare – but each to their own!  If you enjoy an author – borrow all of their book!  If you enjoy a series – borrow the whole run of them!  Also… it  helps us to dust the shelves if there are fewer books on them when the students are away!

Remember the Road Trip aid of our talking books, too – download our ebook and eAuudio books from the app at https://kilbreda.wheelers.co/ and play them via Bluetooth for all in the car or just plug in your airpods and enjoy the ride.

I would also like to thank all of our students for their wonderful behaviour during the year.  There were some instances of eating in the library and the occasional bits of fruit peel left behind books on shelves and under cushions – but not so much as to be a true rat-attracting problem.   

The VCE students are being well supported in their final revisions as their teachers are all taking time to come and help them polish the learning they have received from their 6 years’ of study at Kilbreda.  The ambience is invigorating and positive.  We wish them all the best in the ongoing exams.
