Wood Technology

A new school semester brings new students to the subject of Wood Technology and with that begins plenty of safety training in class conduct and use of equipment. Mr Minster will ensure that the students have completed all of their important safety modules before they can move onto the hands on tasks.  Students will design, measure and plan before they start building their projects, using equipment such as woodworking hand tools, drills, sanders and cordless power tools.

Gerry in Year 9 is the proud owner of a new side table which he completed in Semester 1 and our VCAL students who have completed substantial safety training in their VET subjects at TAFE, have assisted Mr Florence in repairs around the school and currently working on a scarecrow project using timber, further adding to their workplace skills.
