It’s almost that time again – MS Readathon!!
Make sure to jump online and register your children:
- Go to MS Readathon
Embark on an epic adventure this August! The MS Readathon inspires kids to read as much as they can.
- If you have registered a child before, then go to LOGIN in the top right hand corner. If you have not, then go to REGISTER. You will initially need to register yourself as you are the contact point. Once you are registered then you can add in children.
- Once you add in children, choose a T-shirt size (only for early registrations) so sign up early.
- Make sure to choose a School NOT a Team. You need to choose St Francis de Sales Catholic Primary School Lynbrook. There are multiple St Francis de Sales schools so make sure to pick this one.
- Once you’ve chosen our school, you’ll be all set to choose an avatar and ready to go.
And remember you don’t have to wait till August to start getting donations – everything is all set to get raising and reading for an amazing cause.
Wonder Recycling Program
In Australia, only 18%* of plastic packaging is recycled.
That is why Wonder has created the Wonder Recycling Rewards Program - a fun and easy program for schools to recycle bread bags that might otherwise go to landfill. Not only is that incentive enough, but we can also earn rewards points to redeem on new sports equipment for our efforts. All the collected plastic will be used to create wonderful new things like school play equipment! PLUS our school is in the draw to WIN one of five exercise circuits made from the recycled plastic we collect.
So hopefully during remote learning everyone has kept all their plastic bags! Now’s the time to bring them in and put them into their house colour box! All boxes are in the corridor and are clearly marked with their house colour on the front. The last date for collection is July 16th so there is still plenty of time to keep collecting - we look forward to hearing which house colour has collected the most bags!
*All brand bags accepted.

Popcorn/Chips Fridays
We are delighted that Friday Treat day is back up and running! Each Friday we have both popcorn and chips available for the children to purchase. So do not forget to give your child 50c so they don’t miss out!
