Get into film making over lockdown

SmartFone FlickFest

What better time to get into filmmaking than over lockdowns! SmartFone FlickFest is Australia’s international smartphone film festival for filmmakers of all ages. A world-wide festival open to anyone with a smartphone or tablet and a great idea for a short film.

SF3 provides a platform for budding, emerging and professional filmmakers to bring their ideas to life and have their films seen by a global audience, without the need for lots of fancy equipment or a big budget.

That great story you have always thought would make a great film? Here is your chance!

Just about everyone now has access to a smartphone or a tablet so start filming. It’s that easy. The democratisation of filmmaking is here!

From all the eligible entries, finalist films will be selected to screen in the 7th annual SF3 Gala Awards Final in Sydney, Australia on November 27th, 2021 at the Palace Chauvel Cinema in Paddington. Our Gala is a red carpet VIP night, where our esteemed judging panel will award our SF3 prizes to the winners of each category, and the winning filmmakers, creatives and actors will take home prize packs worth in excess of $40,000.

There is also the SF Kids category, specially designed for those under the age of 16. With multiple prizes on offer this is great festival for any creatives out there. All you need is that rectangle device everyone uses to look at Tik Toks and cat memes and a fun story!

Entries are due September 1st. For more info go here: https://sf3.com.au/
