Studio Arts

11 Studio Arts - Angelique Lazos has been trialling various compositions which will form potential directions for her final artwork later this term.

 

12 Studio Arts - having produced several potential directions during Unit 3, Vyoma, Alexander and Eleni are now working on their first final. 

 

8 Art - students explore various materials and artists for inspiration to understand the value of juxtaposition in the creation of individual artworks 

8 Media - students use a variety of physical materials and digital tools to create individual characters for their animations.

 

2A Art - students present their Olympic mascot drawings (in progress) to their peers for reflection and constructive feedback.

 

Year 1 Art - students proudly display their colourful Kandinsky inspired tree collages.

 

 

Drama

 

8 Drama - students enjoy a variety of warm-up activities before learning about different theatre styles including; Ancient Greek theatre, Comedia Dell’Arte, English Renaissance theatre and realism.

 

9 Drama - students collaborate as they rehearse to take part in ‘The Suitcase Series’, a Malthouse Theatre Education program where they devise a theatre performance based on a professional stimulus script. The students hope to perform this publicly, depending on COVID restrictions.  

 

Unit 4 Drama - Toni Stathopoulos performs her 2-minute drama solo so she can hone her skills for her solo examination in term 4. Students must devise a short solo, which focuses on multiple transformations of time, character and place on stage. Symbolism must also be applied through the use of props, gesture of other mediums.

 

9 Food - students enjoy working together to create recipes incorporating eggs. Here they make and taste their pancakes.

If so please come along to the art room on Monday at lunch time to learn about this year’s Lion’s Club Peace Poster competition. Take a look at last year’s online show, including Oakleigh Grammar entries and work by District Finalist Charlie Humble. There will be sessions each Monday lunch for the rest of this term for you to work on your posters.
