3V - Around the Traps

Class News

Just a reminder that for the next few weeks PE will be on a Tuesday instead of a Wednesday.

Literacy

This week our base word we have been investigating is <aud>. Through our investigations we learnt that words that have this base, such as audio, auditorium, audience, audition, applaud, all have a similar meaning in that they are about hearing and sound. We have also had a focus on the book week award-winning and shortlisted texts this week. Students have been exposed to a range of texts this week through these activities.

Maths

We are continuing our time knowledge in 3V this week. Students are gradually building their knowledge. We will be working on more word problems associated with time next week to solidify what we have learnt and apply it in different situations. 

Inquiry

Students have begun planning, as a group, on how they can represent the Earth, Sun and Moon’s relationship to one another. This week we are preparing our materials to begin filming and creating our videos.

RE

Our Fruits of the Spirit play practice is still going. Students were focussing more on their performing skills this week as they were reflecting on what the Fruits of the Spirit were.
