Dear Parents and Friends,

What a lovely day it was in our school yesterday, with our new Foundation students for 2022. It was wonderful to welcome these students to our community and their smiling faces throughout the morning!

A reminder that our Mega Art Day is due to take place on the 26th of November, with this date as the final day for the Silent Auction, get bidding now on your favourite piece!

Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist

Thank you for continuing to keep these students in your prayers as they finalise preparation for this Sunday’s celebration of these Sacraments, an important step in their faith journey. Thank you to parents for supporting your children in preparing for these Sacraments, and to Markeeta Green for supporting families in this process and preparing the mass for this Sunday at 8.30 am.

Supporting Children Through Change and Uncertainty

Yesterday the staff participated in a session focussed on supporting children in the ever-changing climate. This session was presented by the MacKillop Foundation and added to our toolkits and understanding of how to support students at this time. Some key points included listening, giving children time to talk about how they feel, worries, articulating feelings and what can be done to work through these.

Restriction Guideline Updates

Currently, any visitors or parents who need to come on-site are asked to enter via the office, following QR procedures. Due to density limits, we ask that you drop off/ pick up outside of the school building, and a reminder that any gatherings are able to occur for staff and students only at this stage. We thank you for your continued cooperation in this matter and for your efforts in keeping your children safe at school.
