Primary Reflections

Being a School Captain in 2021 was a experience I will never forget. During my time in this position I have learnt and achieved many different things. One of my favourite aspects of being a leader was the fact that I was able to give my own input into what we did. I loved the ability to write my own script for the assemblies, helping the new preps transition in to school and even being able be part of the interview panel to select the new school leaders for next year. All these opportunities are ones that I am grateful for and something I will never forget. - Vignesh

First of all I would like to say congratulations to Year 6 for graduating primary school! The last few years have been tough but we got through it together and ended it on a good note. Well done and good luck on your first year of high school. Throughout our seven years of being at The Lakes together, we've made some pretty amazing memories such as, our first day of school, Year 1 dinner, the Year 2 sleepover, school camps - Year 5 camp was definitely a bit tough but we all managed through. These special memories we will always cherish along with our friends and teachers that we have had. To the rest of the primary campus, well done as well! I'm sure you have memories you already cherish too. We have really enjoyed being the school captains!- Shayla & Milana

This year in 2021 I have been lucky enough to become a Peer Mediator for The Lakes South Morang College. My highlights of this year have been, helping other students when they have issues in the playground and supporting teachers. I have really enjoyed the Year 6 Passion Project that we have started in Art and Music this term because we were able to explore what we enjoy in the subjects and what we are passionate about. I am also really excited to graduate on 15 December, but it will also be sad to go! I hope everyone remembers to keep showing The Lakes values of Respect, Leadership, Learning and Teamwork - even when home on the holidays! Thankyou - Jordyn D
