Morris Gleitzman published the first in the series, “Once”, fifteen years ago and millions of dedicated readers have followed the story of Felix. He is a boy who witnesses some of the most unbelievable events in modern history. He is a charming character who tries to understand the inexplicable behaviour of twentieth century humanity. Along the way he meets Zelda, Wassim and many other characters. These books are a must read for anyone from Grade 5 to 99 years.

Morris Gleitzman is one of Australia’s best loved writers for children and young adults. Most of his books are humorous, from the “Toad Rage” series focusing on the trials of a family of cane toads to stories of young people challenging the great mysteries of life such as “Misery Guts”, one of his earliest classics. All in all 42 books are on the list.
