School Council Meeting Report – November 2021

JSC update

Thanks Tali, Lola and Chloe for attending our School Council meeting last night. We appreciated the update on the Graduation and Year 6 projects underway as well as hearing the details of the upcoming school sock fundraiser that the JSC has organised (as an unofficial school uniform option). School Council endorsed the school sock fundraiser and we look forward to hearing how it goes, although we are confident that it will be a success. Thank you JSC for all of your efforts and contributions this year and for representing your fellow students so well.

2022 Indicative Budget Endorsement

After review and discussion by the Finance Sub Committee, School Council endorsed the Indicative Cash Budget for 2022. This will be finalised at the beginning of 2022 once student enrolments have been confirmed. As outlined at the Parent Payment Information session last week, any Contributions (Curriculum and Other) received from parents/families are income included in this budget, along with the Student Resource Package (SRP - from the Dept of Education and Training); Fundraising and Grants etc. The planned expenditures for the year are also outlined, which broadly covers the Curriculum, Facilities and Administration costs. School Council can ascertain that there is strong commitment to funding curriculum programs and in providing sufficient resources to cater for the expanding student population again in 2022 and we would like to thank Angela Stevens for the excellent financial management of the school year on year.

Thank you CHPS Staff and CHAPS!

The school has now returned to full-time onsite learning, which is so great to see. We would like to thank Christian, Amy, Carol and all school staff for maintaining COVID-safe practices, for supporting our children back in the classroom and for scheduling some of the much loved events in the final weeks of term as restrictions ease further from this weekend. Big thanks also to CHAPS for organising the Term 4 fundraisers/events for our children to enjoy and take part in.
