ALL SAINTS PLEASANT SUNDAY AFTERNOON

On Sun 23rd July, we performed for the Tatura community.   This has become an annual event. Our performance gave our young musicians a chance to play some of their repertoire they will be performing in Queensland in July. It was a wonderful afternoon, and congratulations must go to everyone who participated.   We raised $600 to go towards the music Dept excursions and activities.

QUEENSLAND MUSIC TOUR:-  Saturday 13th July to Saturday 20th July

38 students will be heading off to Queensland on a Music Tour soon. We will be leaving on the last Saturday of the July Holidays and return a week later.

The students will have the opportunity to perform for various schools, at Shopping centres, Pacific Fair Shopping Complex and visit Movie World, Sea World, Wet N Wild and enjoy sight seeing around the Gold Coast. The Band members are working on an extensive repertoire at present and they rehearse from 3.30 to 5.30pm every Wed after school.  All students will be sporting their black and red tee shirts. Logo designed by Kyla Culhane ( a member of the QLD band ).

We look forward to hearing lots of wonderful stories on their return.

TATURA ART SHOW

The Tatura Art Show was hosted on the long weekend in June. This event is run by the Tatura Rotary Club. Once again this year Kamali Lamba was asked to perform on the Saturday. Kamali sang and played guitar to the audience as they browsed at the art work. A big thank you to Kamali for taking up her time to entertain the guests.

SCHOOL OF ROCK 9/10

On Monday 25/06, the students from the School of Rock 9/10 elective class gave a performance in the library as part of their SAC requirements. The students have spent the term preparing songs and pieces that they can perform, working hard to practice new skills and develop themselves as musicians. There was a small crowd of supporters which was great to see. Thank you class for your hard work! – Mr Lees
