Bread Bag (not bread tag) Recycling

This year we are participating in the Wonder Recycling Rewards Program for schools in the hope of scoring some free sporting equipment for Lyndhurst Primary School.

Please start collecting your bread bags and wrap packets and bring them into school. We suggest using one bread bag to store the others inside of for ease of transport. There are x2 pink recycling boxes, one is located inside the office entrance doors and the other is in the Team Kids area.

Please ensure that bags are emptied of crumbs, there is no need to wash the bags out.

School collections close on the 23rd of June.

District Cross Country

On Wednesday the 3rd of May our enthusiastic cross-country team represented Lyndhurst Primary School in the Narre Warren District Cross Country at Akoonah Park, Berwick.

After last year’s hail we were keeping a nervous eye on the rain radar, however, were fortunate that the rain remained light throughout the event.  Overall, the temperature was perfect for the competitors running the course, but it was rather chilly for the spectators and gave us all a taste of the winter to come.

We congratulate our X49 competitors who not only ran their event but also upheld great sportsmanship through their interactions in the wider community.

A big thank you to parents and guardians who attended on the day, with a special mention to Madelyn T’s mum for providing Mr Hamilton with an extra warm, waterproof jacket and to Miller’s dad for setting up a gazebo, I know our students were grateful for the shelter.  In addition, we are grateful for Mrs Hamilton, Mr Hennessy and pre-service teacher Daniel and their efforts on the day.
