CLASSROOM HELPERS

Classroom teachers have begun to send out surveys to determine people's availability to help in the classroom. We understand not everyone has the availability to support regularly in the classroom due to their own work and home commitments, however you may still wish to let your child's classroom teacher know if you have knowledge or skills which you would be willing to share with the class on a one off basis, perhaps linked to their concept curriculum. Classroom volunteers will help to provide additional support in the classroom. All classroom helpers will be provided with guidance and resources to support them and to ensure consistency throughout the school.

In order to volunteer within classrooms, all helpers will need to have a current Working With Children's Check (WWCC),  a copy of which must be provided to the school office. We ask that all parents who have already shown an interest in volunteering to ensure that their WWCC is currently in date. When a parent helper attends for a classroom session they will need to sign in at the front desk, as well as see Dana to ensure she has all the relevant registration information for Occupational Health and Safety purposes.

We greatly value the home school partnership and wish to thank our classroom helpers who have already begun supporting our students in Prep and Year 1. We look forward to seeing classroom helpers throughout the rest of the school!
