During Term 2, Year 7 have been learning about Ancient Egypt.

As part of our learning, we have been exploring the mysterious practice of mummification. Classes were able to investigate this process further by mummifying apples.

Students carved out a face in their apples and then covered them in a mixture of baking soda and salt to replicate the natron used in Ancient Egypt.
