Girls Greater West Rugby League

A wonderful experience was had by Brooke Klingner who played in the Greater Western Girls Rugby League side at Wollongong for the CHS rugby league carnival, starting right centre. Well done Brooke!

Open Boys Touch

Congratulationsto the GIHS Open Boys Touch team who are now regional champions. They faced a spirited and talented ASC defeating them 11-4 . It was a great event and it has been some time since a result such as this has been achieved. Well done to a fine group of young men.

Opens Rugby League

Congratulationsto the GIHS Rugby League Opens side who were crowned Northwest champions on Friday 2 June! They defeated Moree Secondary College 68 - 0 and went on to defeat Peel High School 34-4 in the final.

The boys played with class and great character right across the park. Every player should be proud of their contributions and what they endured on the day. They are a group of fine young men. Special thanks to the support group of SSLO Ameliah Levy Blair and Glen McConnell - your assistance is much appreciated.

Open Girls Volleyball

On Friday 2 June, our Opens Girls Volleyball team headed to Armidale for the North West Gala day knockout competition. After losing to ASC in their first pool game, they recovered well and won strongly against Quirindi and Coonabarabran which placed them second in their pool. They faced McIntrye in the semi-finals and sadly, after putting up a strong fight, lost out coming equal third in the NW. There were great efforts by all the girls and such a lovely group of young female athletes who developed as the day progressed.
