Captains Corner

By Vivaan 6C

Hi Everybody and welcome to the latest version of the Captain's Corner,

We have had a fabulous term so far with many fun and amazing events like cross country, the winners of the indigenous garden art competition, basketball competition, the Mother's Day stall and many more.

Some important updates to make you aware of, are that the Year Sixes have the Winter and Soccer round robins coming up -  good luck everyone. The Year sixes and Year Fives are also practising for their second maths Olympiad test that's happening in June.

The basketball competition is still running and teams are racing towards the finals, hopefully soon they will be announcing the winners. Talking about achievements congratulations to Naveen for coming 1st in his club’s chess competition last weekend!

Secondly we have announced the winners of the indigenous garden art competition and we appreciate the time and efforts everyone put into their artworks.

Recently quite a few years levels have gone on excursions, hopefully they have had lots of fun! Talking about fun we have just started rehearsing our production dances and are looking forward to seeing lots of amazing dances in August. The Year 4, 5 and 6's also had the cross country event, so many children qualified for the District event and now we have lots going to the Divisional event. Good luck everyone!

We also had a Mother’s Day stall last week at our school. Hopefully all of the mum's had an awesome Mother’s Day and that they were thanked for their hard and selfless work. I hope you also received lots of  rewarding presents.

If you have any questions feel free to ask our principal Mr Catalano or your class room teacher.

Thank you for taking your time to read this newsletter, I hope you have a wonderful week ahead of you.
