Catholic Schools Week

F Sunday 21 - Friday 26 May we celebrated Catholic Schools Week. The theme for this year’s Catholic Schools Week is Renew With Hope inviting each of us to renew our commitment to sharing God’s love with others. Congratulations to our wonderful Stage 3 students who travelled by bus with Mrs Underwood, Miss Rasche and Miss Summerell to Saints Mary and Joseph Cathedral in Armidale to join with students and teachers across the Armidale Diocese to celebrate the Diocesan Mass for Catholic Schools Week, the way you conducted yourselves with reverence, interest and respect was a credit to yourselves, your families and our school.

Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist

Later this term we will commence preparing students in Year 2 for First Reconciliation to be celebrated on Wednesday 28 June and the students in Years 3 and 4 for First Eucharist on Sunday 30 July 10.00am. Taking into account the increase in cases of covid and other illnesses in our local community, it has been decided that in the interest of keeping everyone safe the Information for Reconciliation will be sent home via email instead of a meeting. If you have any questions about First Reconciliation please contact the school.

The parent information session for First Eucharist will be held on Wednesday 14 June (time to be advised).

Key Upcoming Dates

Living Well, Learning Well - Pastoral Care and Wellbeing

World Environment Day

This Monday, 5 June is the United Nations World Environment Day and the theme for this year is ‘Beat Plastic Pollution’. We encourage everyone this week to take time to think how you both personally and we together can reduce our plastic waste and contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable environment, which in turn contributes to improving everyone’s positive sense of wellbeing. For further information google worldenvironmentday.global because together we can all make ethical changes regarding our use of plastic and improve the health of our world.
