Donations Wanted

5/6 Students

This term in Year Five Leadership, students are preparing to become Mini-Vinnies.

This means that we are supporters of social justice working in partnership with St. Vincent de Paul as helpers on a school level.

Our current goal is to organise donations to assist those who are in need of support as they face homelessness.

As mini-Vinnies, we are inviting everyone to bring to school long-life food items like those you might find in your pantry.  These can include tinned items like fruit, soup, vegetables, and tuna.  Packaged foods like biscuits, sauces, pastas & rice.  Boxed foods like cereals, oats, biscuits and tea.  Jars of coffee and simmer sauces, and cartons of long life milk.

These items will be collected in your classrooms over the next four weeks in the lead up to the Mass of Compassion on June 16h.

The Mass of Compassion is where we show our support for any one who may be homeless including those less fortunate, or struggling.  Our pantry items will be gifted in service and distributed by the adult volunteers of St. Vincent de Paul.

Baskets have been placed in classrooms to welcome your donations.

Thank you everyone.

Kitchen Items

Dear Families,

We are very much looking forward to starting our first cooking group using the wonderful kitchen in the new building. In preparation, we are hoping to establish a selection of second hand equipment to build our kitchen supplies.

If any families have donations to assist in the development of our baking supplies (eg. bowls, wooden spoons, cake tins, trays, measuring cups/jugs) we would be very grateful and appreciative.

Thank you!

Miss Walker & the cooking group.
