Acknowledging student achievement

We are excited to announce an updated student recognition system in 2017. CHAMP is the Cecil Hills Award and Merit Program that is used to acknowledge the many achievements of students across the various areas of school life and the commitment they demonstrate in curricular and extra – curricular activities.

CHAMP has been updated in 2017 and it now provides one pathway that awards points to students for their achievements. Students can receive points for recognition of positive behaviours, sporting and extra-curricular activities, academic success and service to the school. Points are weighted in value and awarded based of the effort and achievement of the students and success.

Points are tallied via our school online student information system (Sentral). As students earn points they automatically achieve awards, without the need to collect paper merits.

Parents and students can view all points and awards via the Student Portal login in page. Students can access with their DoE username and password. Parents are encouraged to access this portal with their children to help recognise their success. Here's a full list of points.
