It's Showbiz for Lucy

A prestigious honour
After only arriving at the school a few weeks ago, Year 7 student Lucy Todd is already revealing herself to be one our brightest and talented young stars. Lucy will be taking her gifts to one of the biggest stages in the country this year as she auditions as a featured artist for the 2017 Schools Spectacular. The Schools Spectacular is an outstanding annual event in which immensely talented students from NSW Public Schools come together on a grand scale in one of the biggest showcases in the world. This iconic cultural event engages and showcases students of varying ages, cultures, skills and socio-economic backgrounds; from metropolitan, rural and remote regions of NSW. It is a wonderful display of unity amongst NSW Public Schools and continues to grow in scale every year, reaching numbers of up to 5000 students showing off their talents.
Lucy will be auditioning as a featured artist, which is perhaps the most prestigious honour to receive at this wonderful event. Featured artists are the main solo vocalists of the event and the Schools Spectacular has seen some of Australia’s most talented singers come through the system and go on to achieve incredible feats in the music industry. Some previous notable alumni include artists such as Human Nature, Nathan Foley, Paulini and Anja Nissen.
We wish Lucy the absolute best of luck through the audition process; we are certain that she will do herself and the school proud. You have the support of the entire school behind you Lucy!
As they say in showbiz, break a leg!
