Making a difference

Students preparing gifts and flowers for our recent Valentine's Day fundraiser

Valentine's Day

It has been a very successful start to the year with our Student Representative Council (SRC) holding a Valentine's Day Stall where students were able to purchase gifts such as roses and bears for their loved ones. Some students were serenaded in class with a sing-a-gram by a group of our SRC members and overall we made over $3000 worth of sales, with the $1600 profit going back into the school to benefit the students.

All SRC members look forward to continuing this success and implementing initiatives throughout the year to benefit the school. We are continually looking for new ways to improve the school and are always open to hear about ideas from students. Currently, the SRC have some great initiatives coming up. These include:

  • Clean Up Australia Day  - we're having our very own Clean up Day on Monday, 6th March - and student volunteers are very welcome - where we will clean up the community and help conserve the environment.
  • The Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave - we're looking forward to this event as we aim to raise money to help those families facing blood cancer.

We encourage everyone to participate in all our events  to ensure we  make a difference to our school community  and to those in need.
