Outdoor Education

It has been a busy few weeks for all of our Outdoor Ed students at the college.

Our Year 9 students have just returned from their overnight camp down on the surf coast at Anglesea, as well as having completed the famous Werribee Gorge circuit hike the week prior. We were incredibly luck to have glorious conditions for both events, with students returning having pushed themselves to hike over 25km, as well as complete surfing lessons at Urquhart Bluff.

24 of our Year 10 VCE students slogged their way through the mud during their overnight hiking camp down on the world famous Great Ocean Walk at Apollo Bay. The conditions made for a challenging few days, but all of our students acquitted themselves amazingly to complete the hike through some stunning environments, and were rewarded with a beach side camp spot for our overnight stay. Our students will complete their final excursion for the year on November 8th, when they complete a day of stand up paddle boarding.

Our Unit 3&4 students are frantically studying with Mr Velden for their Year 12 exams having completed all of their practical experiences for the year, and we wish them all the best for their, and hope that all of their hard work has paid off!
