Reading Hour

On Thursday, 19 September, students from Years 7-9 spent one period participating in Australian Reading Hour, as part of an Australian Government initiative aimed at helping everyone to take some time to ‘rediscover’ the benefits of reading, to ‘learn, escape and relax’.

It is almost the time of the year when we begin to organize the library for our annual stock take. We require all student loans back by Friday, 6 December so that we can complete the end of year procedures in the library.

Please encourage your child to return everything from the school library.  Email and mail will be sent home to families to highlight items that are still outstanding.  If your child would like to discuss these further, they can speak to a member of the library team by coming in or calling 9743 3322.

The library is open from 8.30am – 4.30pm. Recess and lunchtime are for schoolwork, study or independent reading.  We are now offering a DVD loan service.  Students may borrow 4 items on a fortnightly basis and are able to re-borrow if required.
