COVID-19 Update

As announced by the Queensland Government on Tuesday, a number of COVID-19 restrictions will be lifted. From 6:00 pm Friday 4 March, masks will no longer be required in schools for all students, staff and visitors. Although the requirement of wearing a mask has been lifted, it is still recommended that masks should still be worn if you cannot socially distance yourself. Masks will continue to be required for anyone using public transport and rideshares.

In the classrooms, we will continue to ensure that the rooms remain well ventilated by having the windows and doors opened and using mechanical ventilation through fans and air conditioning systems and where possible, learning will continue to relocate to outdoor settings.

The lifting of the restrictions also means that we can welcome parents and visitors back onto campus and have assemblies, events, and celebrations. All assembly and event details can be found on the College calendar, which can be viewed via the College app.

Although restrictions have been lifted, we ask that all parents/caregivers do not send their child to school if they are unwell. If they are unwell, please advise the College via the usual absentee channel – by clicking on the “Absentee” tile on the College app and completing the form.

Further information on the restrictions and how to protect yourself and others can be found on the Queensland Government website.
