Hai, apa kabar semuanya.      みなさん こんにちは。

We’re getting into the busy time of the term with many upcoming and recently completed assessments.   Please check in with your child to see how they are going and let their teacher know if you have any questions or concerns.

In focus – Year 10 Japanese

The Year 10 cohort made a Fashion Magazine last week.  Please scroll to the bottom of the page to have a look at their work.  They will be using their Oral skills today to do a mock Fashion Show – we wish them all luck on their runway!

Upcoming Language Events

The National Australia Indonesia Language Awards (NAILA) is an annual speaking competition that rewards and fosters the development of Indonesian language learning in Australia at all levels. Students in Years 7 - 12 are invited to participate in the competition and may submit a group or individual entry.

Participants have the opportunity to showcase their language skills, discuss bilateral issues and share traditional arts, culture and musical performances with the public. The theme for this years NAILA speech is ‘Relationships’ (hubungan) and could include topics such as:

- How do you maintain relationships in a pandemic?

- Tell us about your best friends

- Think about how we can improve Australia-Indonesia relations.

There are cash prizes for winning entries. For more information please go to the NAILA website: https://naila.org.au/ or speak to your Indonesian teacher.
