NCD Triathlon

On Thursday 10th March we took a team of nine students from Wedderburn College to compete in the NCD Triathlon. It was held around the beautiful lake at Boort on a warm, sunny day.

All nine students competed in the team event which consisted of a 4km run, a 16km bike ride and a 300m swim. Each student completed one leg of the triathlon in a team of three. Eli, Aihen and Morgan made up one team, Chloe, Amelia and Kayla made up another and Olivia, Aliza and Neve made up the final team.

All students represented their school tremendously well and displayed all College values throughout the day. Resilience was particularly important throughout the event as students battled through tough moments to make it to the finish line. All students should be proud of their efforts and persistence. A big thanks to Mr Gretgrix for coming over with us to support and help out on the checkpoints so people stayed on the right path! Students were rewarded with lunch at the lake after a massive effort.

Well done.
