Expressions of Interest - HSC Presiding Officer

We are currently looking for a Presiding Officer to manage the exam supervision and conduct of HSC exams. The Officer will be employed by the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).

 

This position involves working closely with the Leader of Curriculum and duties include:

  • Managing a team of supervisors.
  • Managing a students' exam conduct.
  • Checking and organising exam materials before and after each exam.
  • Managing conduct of approved disability provisions for students.
  • Follow NESA's administrative and security procedures. 

Essential Requirements

Presiding officers must:

  • Have a current Working With Children Check (WWCC) clearance for employment.
  • Be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or have a medical exemption certificate.
  • Have good attention to detail. 
  • Be able to effectively manage a team of supervisors.
  • Have your own vehicle with comprehensive motor vehicle insurance policy.
  • Be available to complete preparatory work and training tasks prior to the HSC exams.
  • Be available for the ENTIRE exam period (12 October 2022 to 7 November 2022).
  • Have an email address and mobile number. 
  • Have basic knowledge and ability to use a computer. 

Note: A person CANNOT hold the position of Presiding Officer if they have a relative (including children, siblings, grandchildren, cousins and nieces/nephews) sitting the HSC exams.
