Preston Butcher Cup

Opens Girls Touch

The girls Opens Touch Preston Butcher Cup has been running throughout Term 1.

The girls played Kildare and Wagga High School in the round games and played Wagga HS again in the semi. They won all of their games convincingly and this took the team to the Grand Final against Kildare.

During the Grand Final the girls fought a tough game with 4-4 at half time. Some quick reflexes saw Ashley Reynoldson take an intercept and Zahra Hunt dived for the line to open the game up. Ashley Reynoldson took a spectacular dive to seal the win at 7-4. Congratulations to Cleo Buttifant who was voted player of the final.

Congratulations to Ashley Reynoldson, Jessica Wendt, and Caitlin Wheeler who played their last Opens Touch game for the College. Their leadership, touch knowledge and skills have been incredible to watch over the years and the girls will be missed. Thanks to Mrs Baggio for coaching.
