Principal Post
Dear Families,
Tomorrow we come to the end of Term 1!
Please note that school will finish at 2:30pm
I thank each one of you for the trust that you place in us as educators as we partner with you to support your child here at SJV.
To all our Preps and other new students, we hope that your start at SJV has been full of learning and enjoyment. We hope you have settled well, found friends and are learning all the routines of school life at SJV!!
To our new families we hope that you feel well supported and are looking forward to a long and productive association with our wonderful school.
Whilst COVID restrictions have across the term eased somewhat in Victoria, we are still guided by our State Chief Health Officer and Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools. As we are aware though, COVID Restrictions can change on a weekly or even daily basis.
It is our hope that when Term 2 comes around we will gradually begin to see more activities return to SJV.
Staff News Term 2
Our congratulations to Claire Russo who yesterday accepted a job as a Religious Education Teacher at Mazenod College. Claire has been teaching at SJV for the past eleven years. She is very excited to be moving into a new challenge of Junior Secondary Teaching.
Claire will begin her new job at a negotiated time in Term 2. We will now advertise for a classroom teacher to join our team for the remainder of this year. As one door closes another opens. We will continue to ensure that the students in 3/4RS are well supported by all staff. This will include a thorough handover from Claire to the new teacher when appointed. I will keep the community informed.
Staff - Congratulations
