ICT Best Practices

Students in Year 7 and Year 10 have new devices this year and Trinity College is asking that all parents/carers chat to their child about caring for these new devices.

Students MUST be using the bag that was supplied with their new device at the beginning of the year. Accidents happen from time to time and the bag is designed to buffer the device from knocks and minor damage. Without the bag, damage to the device can be an unwelcome cost for families.

All our students need daily reminders from both parents and staff so here are a few tips for students to remember:

  1. Before going to bed: restart the device and plug it in to charge in the kitchen or main living area.
  2. When not in use or when moving around the College campus, ensure that the device is in its carry bag.
  3. If having trouble with the device, ensure that the ICT department is notified immediately.

If parents/carers have any further concerns, please contact your child's Year Level Coordinator or the Trinity ICT department.
