Athletics Carnival and Sports

The Endeavour College Athletics Carnival was held on Friday 26 March at SA Athletics Stadium, after being postponed due to extreme weather earlier in the year. What a massive effort by all involved! It was a tough day out in the heat but everyone put in 100%, whether in events or helping out others as student helpers. This team effort made the carnival a real highlight.
Village spirit and the Endeavour Way was in action all day! I was very proud to see such great behaviour and participation from students. Heysen took out the overall Village win, while Mitchell secured the Village Spirit award.

I loved the positive atmosphere, everyone was cheering each other on and everyone tried their best. The teachers were awesome and reminded us how to do each event and the rules of each event.

I liked the vibe of this year, most people were getting involved.

Although we didn't win the spirit award, I was really impressed by how much spirit Mawson was showing towards the end with the cheering/chanting.

Year 10 Sports Coaching Excursion
During Term 1, our Year 10 Health and Physical Education students have been investigating what it takes to make a great sports coach. They have worked in small groups to design and practise a coaching session, and during Week 10 they were able to deliver their lesson to primary school students at some of our Connected Schools. A wide variety of activities were taught across the 6 classes, including Volleyball, Badminton, Touch Football, Soccer, Self Defense, Basketball, Netball, Creative Dance, Teeball, Football, Golf, Tennis, Gymnastics and Ultimate Frisbee.
It was a rewarding experience, with our Year 10 students coming away from the session with new skills, and the joy of giving the primary students a fun experience. A big thanks to Good Shepherd Para Vista and Golden Grove Lutheran Primary School for hosting our classes. We hope this relationship can continue into the future.
