How We Express- Inside Out Fun Day

That’s a wrap!

To end our How We Express Ourselves Unit of Inquiry last term we had a special dress up and movie day. 

The students went to much effort with their costumes and the emotion that was felt for the day was definitely ‘Joy’. We began our day by discussing how our emotions affect the way we communicate with others. 

The students were then ask to write a letter to one of the emotions Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear or Disgust telling them how they make them feel and why. The teachers were very impressed with everyone’s letter writing skills as it has been the main writing genre and focus for term 1. 

After recess we enjoyed a private movie screening whilst indulging in a special treat from home. To complete our fabulous day the students were presented with a certificate of congratulations recognising all the learning they have done regarding managing their emotions this term. We all had such an enjoyable day.
