Ask, Search and Knock

A certain prayer master advised his listeners to adopt the APR program when they pray. When the listeners asked what the acronym meant, he said with a smile, “Be aggressive. Be persistent. Be reasonable.” There is another acronym: PUSH; Pray Until Something Happens. When everything seems to go wrong, just PUSH. When the job gets you down, just PUSH. When people don't react the way you think they should, PUSH. When people just don't understand you, just PUSH. So be persistent. Never stop asking. Never stop knocking. Those who do not knock, will never find out what is on the other side of the door.

Have a good week, Brian, Martin, Vicki & Garry

St Anthony's Parish Prayer

St. Anthony, patron of our parish, loyal servant of God, faithful follower of Jesus: You taught by word and deed, the message of the Gospel. Teach us to live the Gospel values as you did. Enlighten our minds in search of God's will. Inspire us to be a prayerful community, ever reaching out to and cherishing our neighbour. Help us proclaim God's love and live what we proclaim. AMEN.
