Dear parents and families
The last two weeks have been very busy with lots of interesting things happening in all levels. This term, we are inquiring into the topic ‘We are Curious and Creative’, as our students get involved in the highly creative process of theatre with the production ‘Alice in Wonderland’.
The Prep students have been curious about ‘Our Community’ and all those who help us in the community. They have been very fortunate to have had many incursions including the Police, SES, Ambulance and a nurse visit.
The year 1/2 students are inquiring into the ‘common good’ of the community and how the wellbeing of all can be improved if everyone works together. They have also had an incursion by the St Johns Ambulance to learn about First Aid.
In year 3/4, the students have been inquiring into the consequences of decisions and actions made by humans in light of human dignity. The students had a fantastic excursion to the zoo and will be furthering their learning through many rich projects they will be doing through the term.
In year 5/6, the students have been inquiring into ‘How can we use our God given gifts to be curious and creative in our community’? They have been looking at symbols that shape our faith identity.
Much of this learning is through the very engaging process of inquiry.
Have a safe and restful weekend!
