Environmental Film Festival—FPS Video Featured!

You may remember back to Newsletter 8 this year where we highlighted a video made by Darebin Council demonstrating some of the sustainably initiatives that have been enacted at FPS. Well, we have some more exciting news about this video.

Fairfield Primary School’s video has been chosen to be featured in the Environmental Film Festival (https://www.effa.org.au). The festival is on now and our video will be playing alongside some feature films. Our video will be played before Shorts for a New Generation.

This is a ticketed event, so if you are interested in purchasing tickets go to the website for tickets and full program details.

It is such pleasing news that our story will be shared more widely!

Congratulations again to our Environmental Sustainability Working Group for enacting many of these changes, and our Year 6 Community Leaders; Rosie, Austin, Harvey, Eloise, James and Leo for speaking so brilliantly.

Some more information about The Environmental Film Festival

Celebrating their twelfth annual, volunteer-run festival, audiences are invited to ‘Take a Journey with EFFA 21’. The festival showcases environmental documentaries, features, shorts, talks and children’s content. Ticket options allow audiences to choose their own adventure – you might storm the Aussie streets with the School Strike 4 Climate crew, swim deep with the marlins and sea lions in California, stand with Indigenous leaders fighting for their communities across the planet or admire the Moon from a new point of view.

The film festival started on Thursday 14 October and will run until Sunday 14 November, 2021.
