Meet Our Staff...and Students!

YOU'VE MET OUR STAFF, NOW MEET OUR SRC!

Our very first ‘Meet the S.R.C.s’ Profiles:

After the popularity and positive feedback regarding the ‘Meet the Teacher’ profiles, the S.R.C. had the incredible idea of creating another series of profiles, called ‘Meet the S.R.C.’!

These profiles have the purpose of introducing our school community to some of our very important student leaders from all year levels in our school.

Introducing… lovely, lively LILY!

Lily is in Year 5.

Lil describes herself as: funny, bubbly, thoughtful, sweet, hardworking, social, sympathetic, easy going, kind and creative!

Her goals are to be a school captain and to be a fashion designer or teacher when she’s older. She wanted to be an S.R.C. rep because she loves helping the school with organising events, competitions and activities. Lil thought it looked like a great way to communicate with students in other year levels. She loves S.R.C. because she has freedom and opportunities to speak, and the group of students and teachers in S.R.C. are very hardworking.

Lily said (very eloquently, may I add!), “What I love about Murrumbeena Primary School is the people I’m around and the opportunities I’m presented with. At Murrumbeena, the teachers and the students are kind and caring to me.”

We asked Lil, “What is something you’ve been doing to stay positive during Home Learning?”. This is what she said… “Something I do to stay positive is to exercise, watch movies and  also to socialise with my friends! I love all of them because my friends make me laugh and cheer me up! Another person who cheers me up is my teacher Miss Callanan! Miss Callanan always is very enthusiastic in class and organises fun lockdown competitions and activities! I lastly go for long walks to relax because the fresh air is very soothing and calming for me! I also like to explore all around the 5 km boundary.”

Thank you so much, Lil, for answering all of our questions and allowing us to do this profile on you!

Introducing… awesome, accomplished, amazing Aiya!

Meet Aiya - she is our second S.R.C. member to be featured in our ‘Meet the S.R.C.’ series, aiming to introduce you to some of the very important student leaders in our school.

Aiya is in Year 2!

She describes herself as happy, energetic, sensitive, silly, passionate and imaginative.

She LOVES to skate, play piano, read long books and swim (so multi talented!).

In lockdown, she’s enjoying skating with her lovely mum and her brand new puppy, Sherlock! (What a brilliant name!

Aiya loves M.P.S. because she loves the teachers and her friends. She applied to be on S.R.C. because she wanted to be a leader and a voice for her class.

Ambitious Aiya has incredible, BIG goals for her future; she wants to be a school captain one day and would also love to start an online shop selling jewellery!

A BIG thank you to Aiya and her parents for allowing us to share this profile.

Please note that this profile was completed and posted with parental consent.

Keep your eyes peeled for more 'Meet the S.R.C.' profiles!
