Graduation of Class of 2021

Last week we celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2021. The first event was on Thursday night at the Boarders' Valedictory Dinner with Year Twelve Boarders and their parents. It was a pleasant evening with a beautiful meal served by our Chef, Nick Harvey.  On Friday we commenced the morning with the Valedictory Chapel followed by the Valedictory Assembly. Elijah Wesley and Chloe Trend provided a wonderful insight into the experiences of the Year Twelves through the metaphor of Outward Bound and farewelled students and staff on behalf of the Year Twelve students. It was uplifting to see Year One students from each House, who received badges from the Year Twelve students at the beginning of the year, congratulate the Year Twelves as the Valedicts were presented.

Junior School refurbishment project

The Junior School student toilet facilities will be undergoing a refurbishment commencing 10 November. Over the coming years the School will be upgrading student toilet facilities and will begin this coming November with the Junior School toilets. This will involve retiling, plumbing, fixtures and electrical work. To ensure that this project is completed by the start of 2022, these works will begin mid-November. Students will be directed to use alternative toilets. Students will be provided with more information and directions prior to the works beginning.

Staffing changes

Mr Ian Robson, Head of Camfield, will assume a new role in 2022 as Head of Teaching Staff Operations. We are pleased to announce that Mrs Alexis Stone will be Head of Camfield for the 2022 school year. Congratulations to Ian and Alexis.

Junior School Teacher, Mr Craig Emberson, will be joining the Mathematics Department in 2022. Craig is passionate about Maths and is excited about specialising in Maths.

World Teachers' Day

On Friday 29 October, we will celebrate World Teachers’ Day and recognise the incredible contributions teachers make in our communities. World Teachers' Day is an opportunity for us to say 'thank you'. This year, we will take a moment to recognise the passion our teachers have, and how teaching has extended beyond the classroom to maintain connections. In these changing times teachers need their resilience, leadership and adaptability. At school will be celebrating World Teachers’ Day with a breakfast muffin and surprise messages from students to teachers.
