This week, graduating Year 12, avid reader and frequent library visitor Sholto Foss gives his 'Top 5' Trinity College Library reads.

 

1. The Secret Adversary by Agatha Christie

Restless young couple Tommy and Tuppence embark on a daring business scheme: Young Adventurers Ltd.—"willing to do anything, go anywhere."

 

2. Animal Farm by George Orwell

A classic literary novel where the hypocrisies of the Russian Revolution are restaged with farm animals.

 

3. Swallows and Amazons by Arthur Ransome

A modern adventure story where the Walker children camp under open skies, swim in clear water and go fishing for their dinner. But their days are disturbed by the Blackett sisters, the fierce Amazon pirates.

 

4. The Moorhawke Trilogy by Celine Kiernan
