Junior School

TC Rumble Cup

The Rumble has a great tradition throughout the College. One of the last things the Year 12s do when then leave the College is a Rumble on Centenary Park. The Junior School boys are introduced to the Rumble in the first few weeks of them arriving at the College. This afternoon, the JS Boys competed for the Rumble Cup in their House Groups. Well done to all the boys and thank you to Mr Torre and TOBA for their continual presence in the Junior School.

Tony Curtis Boat Race

Unfortunately, the planned boat race was postponed due to poor weather on Wednesday. We will now have the race this week and celebrate the great work of our Engineering Co-curricular club. The group has been spending many sessions since the beginning of last term designing and making boats out of recycled materials. It will be a rather exciting event and a great opportunity for the boys to show off their engineering skills. Thank you to Mr Maxfield and Mr Brennan for preparing the boys.

Katich Moody Shield

Every year the A cricket teams from Guildford and Trinity compete in an extended cricket fixture. A few years ago a shield was made to recognise Simon Katich (’92) and Tom Moody, who have significant connections with the schools. Good luck to the boys who represent Trinity next Thursday.

Prefects Corner

The second week was back to a normal Monday start. Unfortunately, bad weather postponed the Tony Curtis Cup Regatta which many boys had been looking forward to. Good news it is back on for next week.

6 Gold had an informative excursion to Shop Front on Thursday where they learnt about the homeless around Perth. The came away very grateful for all they have in their lives.

Some of the Year 6 classes had an exciting lesson about food preparation and were able to cook some fantastic meals.

A bye meant the Year 5 and 6s had training for sport this week. Hopefully this is helpful in preparation for next week’s Katich Moody match. Good luck to all the cricket boys.

To end the week was a busy Friday. 4 White led a beautiful Mass with the help of Miss Santalucia. The TOBA assembly concluded the week, and the rumble cup was a highlight.
